Annandale Distillery - Single Cask Mastery from the Lowlands

Originally founded in 1830, the distillery lay silent for nearly a century before being revived through a meticulous, multi-million pound restoration by owners David Thomson and Teresa Church.

Following extensive renovations and modernization, production resumed in 2014, with Annandale releasing its first single malt in 2018. In 2025, the distillery reached another milestone with the release of its first 10-year expressions, marking its arrival as a serious player in the Scotch whisky world.

Annandale’s single cask whiskies represent a true expression of both spirit and wood. From the bold, peated character of the Man O’ Sword range to the more delicate, unpeated elegance of the Man O’ Words series, each bottle tells its own story. Beyond single malts, Annandale has also collaborated with renowned Scottish actor James Cosmo on the Storyman release, a blended whisky personally selected by Cosmo himself. Known for roles in Braveheart, Highlander, Game of Thrones, and Jack Ryan, Cosmo discovered Annandale while filming in the region. Drawn to the whisky’s character, he partnered with the distillery to create a dram that reflects his own story.
