St. Bridget's Kirk is a small batch blended malt whisky produced in Hannah Whisky Merchants' unique self-constructed three cask solera system. This ingenious solera system is the only true solera system in Scotland. Each time a batch is bottled from the cask at the lower right, more spirit is filled into the ex-fino cask at the top and gradually passes through two ex-oloroso casks at the bottom. No official aging takes place in the solera due to the copper piping connecting the casks, however, each batch will vary due to different influences and variable time spent in each of the casks.

Named for the old parish church near Hannah Whisky Merchant's headquarters in Dalgety Bay, this whisky is a nod to Founder and owner Gregor Hannah's roots. Today, the ruins of the medieval church are maintained by Historic Scotland and free for all to explore.

"This is the second blended malt from independent bottler Lady of the Glen; the whisky passes through a small solera system that’s comprised of a fino cask and two oloroso casks. There’s a lot to love here, as the musty nose somehow calls to mind freshly baked raisin bread, dried fruit, and orange peel. Char, café latte, and wood notes harmonize on the palate, while the finish is full of gorgeous spice, apple juice, apricot, tobacco leaf, muted peat, and banana bread."

While Whisky Advocate awarded Batch 2 of St. Bridget’s Kirk an impressive 93 points,  Batch 3 shares the same distinguished single malts and delivers that same layered, complex flavor profile. A seamless continuation of what made Batch 2 so celebrated — rich, balanced, and beautifully integrated.
